Ingredients:

- 300 grams of flour -3 eggs -100 g sugar -250 g of honey

Recipe:


Sweet typical of central and southern composed of balls of fried dough bound with honey. A statement is given then the shape of a donut or a cone and then are eaten during the New Year and Carnival. Preparation
Take a bowl and beat with a whisk the eggs with the sugar. Add the lemon zest, the orange, a shot of liquor and a pinch of salt. It must mixture is light and fluffy and, above all, without lumps. Arrived at this result, add the flour slowly, always taking care to keep the mixture smooth. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rest for 40 minutes. Once the mixture is sufficiently solid, take small pieces and make balls of very small, like glass marbles. Put a high-sided frying pan on the stove and add the oil for frying. Heat it and once it reaches the temperature, fry the dough balls. When they are cooked, put them in a dish rifasciato with paper towels and let them dry. Keep it up until you run out of the mix, changing the oil every two or three fried. In a saucepan, melt the honey and put the grated rind of an orange. Now turn off the heat and add the dough balls fried and candied fruit and mix well. Pour the mixture into a serving dish and give it the shape of a donut. Let cool and then serve!
