Recipe Gardenia Tutorial
Ingredients:
4 petal-shaped molds, 5 bud-shaped pastry cutter, 15 grams of water, 100 grams prepared in gum paste powder
Doses for: 3 g persone
realization time: 30 minutes
Recipe:
Let's start the tutorial by pouring the water with the gum paste into a bowl and start mixing. Then we transfer to a work surface to knead better until a compact ball is created and then we let it rest in a sachet for about 15 minutes. After the right time we take the white ball and from that we start to create smaller balls that will be the pistil of the flower. We insert each ball created on a toothpick wet with some glue and let it dry for about 24 hours. In the meantime, thinly spread the remaining white dough and with the large petal-shaped pasta cutters we obtain several petals. We put each petal on the tip of a toothpick and press it to make it adhere well, then we pass the edges with the ball T. to make it more realistic and then let it dry for at least 24 hours. At this point we spread the remaining pasta and start creating the flowers with 4 types of pasta cutters of different sizes. We start from the smaller cutter and form the first flower, round off the edges and insert a toothpick with the dried bud in the center of the flower. Wrap the flower around the bud and let it dry again upside down for at least 2 hours between each step. We repeat this operation until the last form of flower, the largest. Now brush a little glue in the center of each petal and add one at a time on the bud to create the shape of a gardenia. Wrap the union of the flower to the wire with the green ribbon and place our gardenia on the cake!
