The symbol of Citta` di Castello is without a doubt the group of bell towers that render the town immediately recognisable and which represent a kind of summary of its historical events, strongly characterised by conflicts between the civic and religious powers. Not to forget that Città di Castello is the birth place of Alberto Burri, one of the most representative artists in modern art. Anyone who spends time in our town, immediately falls in love with its charm: ancient Romans used to call Città di Castello “castrum felicitatis”, the town of happiness. Thanks to its geographical position (near Tuscany, Marche and Emilia Romagna) it is the ideal place to spend your language holiday.
