Recipe Cake Design

Ingredients:

White and colored sugar paste, icing sugar, already prepared cake, cold gelatin

Doses for: 6 persone realization time: 1 hours and 0 minutes

Recipe:

To decorate this cake we must, to start, take the white sugar paste and knead it a little to make it soften, then creating a circular dough. Then take the rolling pin and begin to enlarge it, being careful to go from the inside to the outside, up to a thickness of about 2-3 mm. To keep it from sticking we can put icing sugar on the work surface. Once the dough is spread, let's pass over the smoother to make it smoother and remove some defects. After doing this procedure, we take the cake and with a quick movement lay the dough on it. The sugar paste must cover the entire tray so as not to have problems covering the whole cake. Let's take the smoother again and let's pass it all over the cake, making the edges stick together, making sure they grip the sides of the cake. After completely covering the cake, we also pass the smoother on the sides and then, with a knife, we cut the excess dough along the entire edge of the tray. The excess paste can be kneaded again and stored in an anti-frost bag. For the decorations we take the pink sugar paste and always spread it with a thickness of 2-3 mm. Then take the flower mold and cut the dough. We use cold gelatine or water to stick the decorations on the cake, putting very little. Once all the flowers have been created and attached, we take the darker pink sugar paste and create tiny balls that we are going to place on the center of the flowers. We then go on to create strings of two pink shades that will look like braided ribbons that enclose the cake. To create them, we have to roll a dough and spread it with your fingers, rolling it on the work surface. When both are ready, let's get close to them and press lightly to make them stick and then roll them up so that they are woven together. We stain some points on the edge of the cake with gelatine and go and place our weave around it. At the joint point we can decide to put a ball that will look like a small button or another little flower. To make our cake perfectly presentable, take some ribbons and wrap them around the edge of the tray.
