The ITASTRA Intensive Summer School offers courses for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Initial skills are assessed through a placement test. At the end of the course, the student's acquired skills will be certified with a certificate of attendance. With attendance of a minimum of 25 hours of lessons, all students will earn the OPEN BADGE digital certification "Italian as a Second Language in Multilingual Contexts, " ranging from levels A1 to C2 (CEFR). The 2026 Summer School (July/August) is structured into three independent modules of 38 hours each • MODULE I from July 13 to 24,2026 • MODULE II from July 27 to August 7,2026 • MODULE III from August 24 to September 4th, 2026 The registration fee for each module is €180.Three modules fee is €500.Each module includes four 4-hour morning lessons per week, for a total of 38 hours. Students will be guided through every stage of the language learning process. Our courses combine lectures, creative and thematic workshops, and guided tours. All teaching materials are provided by the teachers. Italian students from the University of Palermo will support students in social and recreational activities. They will help build relationships with the new cultural and social environment and develop the language learning process through non-formal learning. ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES. The school organizes excursions for Summer School students both in Palermo and to the most beautiful and evocative tourist destinations in Sicily. Excursions outside the city incur a small supplement. ITASTRA does not have accommodation for students, but we can help you by giving some information if you need. .
